Meet Nicky Chawla, a creative visionary, artisan advocate, and sustainable fashion pioneer. With a passion for textiles, Nicky had a dream of creating a brand that celebrates the rich heritage of Indian textiles as well as promotes sustainability and ethical practices.

Nicky was always fascinated by the intricate designs and beautiful fabrics of native India, and she knew that she wanted to do something to promote the ancient art form of Chikankari.

Birth of Nyara
Together with her family, Nicky co-founded the Nyara label, a brand that is rooted in the traditional form of hand embroidery that originated in Lucknow, India. Nyara is more than just a label - it's a guide for everything she does.

Nyara Mission
The mission is simple - to promote Indian craftsmanship and support local artisans by showcasing the beauty of Chikankari embroidery. What sets Nyara apart is the unique and handmade nature of each piece. No two garments are the same, and each one tells a story of the artisan who created it. Nyara's designs are true to the roots of Chikankari embroidery and the cultural heritage of India, with a focus on authenticity and craftsmanship.

Nyara Vision
We want to create a world where people appreciate the beauty of Indian textiles and understand the skill and craftsmanship that goes into creating each piece. We have faith in the Make in India initiative and are committed to supporting local communities by providing fair wages and safe working conditions.

Nyara Values
At the heart of Nyara are its values - authenticity, craftsmanship, and community.
Authenticity – We want to create unique designs that are true to the roots of Chikankari embroidery and the cultural heritage of India..
Craftsmanship – We value working with skilled artisans who create each piece by hand, ensuring that every garment is a work of art.
Community – We support local artisans and communities by providing fair wages, safe working conditions, and opportunities for growth.

As Nyara looks to the future, our focus remains on promoting Indian craftsmanship, supporting local artisans, and creating a sustainable and ethical brand that is unique. By doing so, we can help promote the ancient art form of Chikankari embroidery and ensure that it continues to thrive for generations to come.

Join Nicky and the Nyara team on the journey to celebrate the beauty of Indian textiles and support the artisans who create them.
